MORE Identity Groups on Zoom
This 8 week mentoring course will give you the opportunity to practice transformational skills in the context of safe community.
The first week will be introduction to what we will be doing. Each subsequent week will include a short teaching for the first 20 minutes, then you will be in a breakout room with your group for the majority of the time, then coming back together at the end to debrief. This will be a 2 hour session. 6-8pm Pacific. The only requirement is that you come with 2 to 3 other people who will be in your group. At least 3, no more than 5. We won’t be putting people in groups.
“MORE” Identity Groups
The purpose of this eight week “community of practice” is to provide intentional time space in a safe atmosphere to grow your relational and emotional maturity skills. As those of you who have taken our classes (most recent Radiant and RARE leadership) or attended our seminars know there is a major need to strengthen the church (ekklesia) a maturing and transforming leadership and capacity.
What is an identity group?
An identity group is- a small joy-bonded relational cell (preferably 3 and no more then 5 people) who meet weekly (live or on zoom) to encourage one another (Heb. 3:13), honor and call out each other’s true identity, share joyful attentiveness, capacity and practice together building maturity skills.
An identity group is- a group of allies, not an accountability group.
An identity group is- the most powerful transformational group in the world. A group of allies (a band of brothers or sisters) on the journey of transformation and growth together.
An identity group is- a place where you can reveal your weaknesses, knowing people are there to help each other grow. They are glad to be with you in your weakness and your strength invoking love and joy-fueled motivation instead of fear and performance. It must be tender toward weakness.
An identity group needs to be- committed to seeking Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
An identity group provides- the safety, rhythms, confidentiality, and boundariesthat promote vulnerability and empathy.
An identity group is- a community of practice. It is a place to practice skills, discuss life, and form relationships with people who help you handle the weight of life.
• We create group identity statements.
• We remind each member who they are and who we are.
• We remind our group who we are.
Why “MORE” Identity groups?
MORE is an acronym we invented to outline 4 primary characteristics of the emerging Relational Revolution – Maturing, Overcoming, Retuning to Rest and Emerging. Our vision is to establish and multiply MORE Identity groups and provide training modules at three of four times a year.
Our training module in this 8 week session is the RARE maturity skill practices and exercised from the RARE Leadership in the Workplace by Marcus Warner and Jim Wilder. https://a.co/d/9159MZG
